Ironically, I take a break from spoons and end up producing something suspiciously like a large spoon.
It's birch finished with walnut oil. It's not my best work, but it was the first time that I've bothered to wet the surface to raise the grain and I was impressed with the result.
Back to the usual now. I'm going away for three weeks - site crewing at a festy - and taking a dozen spoon blanks with me. Should keep me out of trouble.
