Primus seems to be the King of the Road.

I have an Optimus Crux so I wanted to have the Optimus Nova and Nova+ owners feedback.
There is a controversy about the Nova series that they are not as good as they used to be. The Nova + is said to be more a gimmick than anything else. The Nova being quite good and I like the way it folds.

Any feedback on the Nova series vs the Omnilite is more than welcome.
I'm planning to go to South East asia where the place is very unlikely to have gas canisters.

Thanks guys !

I've had and used a Nova for a good number of years now and have never, ever had anything but extremely good, reliable service from it. I rate them much higher than MSR equivalents but, as with all multi-fuel stoves, you do have to think a little before just feeding in anything that'll burn. Cleaning the fuel line is very straightforward but a pain in the donkey to have to do regularly.

They're a top piece of kit. I was tempted by the Nova+ at one stage but, fortunately, my enthusiasm waned and the credit card bill arrived...

I can't help with a comparison, I have had and abused various Primus stoves, most recently the Omnifuel now the Omnilite Ti and have no complaints, of course the Novas are also well thought of as are the Dragonflys. If I were you, I would think this is a good excuse to play in a store or 2 and also look at the outdoor mags who have probably actually tried them all.
