Carinthia Defence 4,summer use?

Has anyone used their Defence 4 in summer?
Is it just too warm or is it ok if not zipped up fully?

I'm a cold sleeper & it's just about OK for me in a hammock, with an under quilt.

It's a £150 bag. It would be a shame to wear it out prematurely when a £30 bag would do in summer.

I like mine in the hammock because of the centre zip (and it was about £80 with the Tropen included - Dutch sleep system, made by a different contractor but to same spec.)
