I should have added-
In the picture, the edge of the axe appears shiny as if there is a flat bevel to the edge,there is not, the bevel is convex (only) and is shiny/mirror like further up the bit that can be seen in the picture.
It's as sharp as a very sharp knife too.

That looks really good. What did you use after the wire brush?
Once you have put an edge on the axe and stroped the edge on leather with metal polish the edge/bevel can look like a mirror. It'll look awesome when contrasted to the "grey" of the rest of the axe head.
