Kev, next time turn the barrel upside down so it's flat on the top, that way you can put a kettle on it without having to balance it. I have two barrels at Hethel to have a play with.

I thought about that but wanted the open top either for the kettle or may add a stove pipe for when we do overnighters

Played with this as well

Took a new member of our local group out today for a forage and fire. She loved it.

Sulpher tufts maybe Kev. Look like something else I can't remember the name of also. Love a good shroom me.

The blockade Along the game trail would suggest a snare point. Lot of activity in that wood considering people shouldn't be in there!

A quick heads up of the 6 sites locations around March we may be able to use and there is talk of camp overs for those that want to, all above board and with permission ;)
The four named we can already use for a day out as we are Cambridgeshire Bushcrafters (head blokes know me (Kev)) so we can get off the main trails

Number 7 coming soon

Took one of the grandsons (7 years old) to Gault Woods today. Look at the concentration on his face

Thirsty so guess what we did.

Running well and very "slimming" drink :lmao:

all holes plugged after use. It was flowing so well that it seeped through the plugs as well.

Took another 8 year old grandson out showing them how to do it last Wednesday from an old gnarly tree
Look at the concentration on his face as well

The drill is shoved in a crack in the bark it's so thick. The hole was drilled until whiter wood came out and then the sap flowed OK.

Coming to the end now as the buds are popping
