I went on a weekend fishing trip with the wee nephews and their dad. A grand time was had by all; lots and lots o fish...throwing back
some real biggies! It's a great little lake way back in the bush, about a one mile portage from our hunt camp. The weather was hot and
humid, even early in the morning. Got up early and organized our gear; the kids were happy to be on the water early, and it didn't take many casts
before a fish was on.
There's a big heron rookery at the end of the lake
On the walk in we saw lots of fresh bear sign; plenty of boulders turned over, etc.
The boys obviously are pretty eager for the next trip; can't wait till they're old enough to portage the canoes...:vio:
