Bank line?

I was wondering if any one has used bank line which is the stuff the Dave cantubury uses and if so were can you get some in the uk???

You can make your own but be aware that they're illegal to use in freshwaters within the UK

Try using Kite String - 75lb strain and very light. Wear gloves though

would the kite string hold for tarp set up ? im currently working on a lightweight hybrid bushcraft hiking kit and was considering switching to bank line or similar.
