I'd still gladly have one at that price. Needs to be razor sharp. Could you do some example holes?

It was noticeably easier to punch through the leather I've got. The point needs to be a tad sharper but it's doing ok. The sides are nice and sharp though. Will get hole pics up tomorrow.

Some years ago when I was being taught saddlery, My tutors husband was making them out of masonry nails, ground on a bench grinder. Very cheap to make and work perfectly. The handle is wooden with a chuck type connection.
