I try and get the kids out whenever I am off work.
I ask them what they want to do, woods, beach, camping, fishing. Most times we manage to get some where. I'm building them up to overnights, by having them camp in the garden. Even now the three youngest are playing under the tarp.
When its peeing down we do skills stuff indoors, sunday we made stick whistles.
