Hey, been trying to find out what this is used for/rough idea of age?? I think it's some old wood turning tool but thats just a guess.

Not a clue, except that I wouldn't expect a woodturning tool to be a folder, as the forces involved would be likely to force the tool shut.

Perhaps a farrier's implement? Just a wild guess really.

Could be an early tool made by the company that became Victorinox - they were called Victoria in the early 20th century (1909-1921).

If it is for tree marking, the large curved part could be a guard to prevent the user barking his knuckles. o)

Its used to mark wooden objects like barrels and boxes especially for transportation.

Y'know I could not work out why I knew I should know what that tool was
I knew it wasn't for beasts but for wood, but I was stumped. (no pun intended )
