Hi there I hope this is the right section.

I bought some old grave stone lifting tools recently. They are steel of some type and they are rusty.

Can anyone recommend whether I should clean them up before displying them or should I leave them in their rusty condition?

Will post some pics later when I'm home, but thought you bright sparks may have a view and some advice.

Thanks in advance. :)

Leave them in a bucket of white vinegar for a while, then give them a scrub with wire wool. Give them another soak to develop a nice patina and you should be set.

Personally I would put it into an electrolysis tank to de rust it like this using a battery charger but that's cos I have the tank (otherwise known as a massive placky tub) already set up in the shed.

Thats not my set up by the way, its just someone else that's done it and posted the method up.
