Here's some pictures of a recent wild camp on Drygarn Fawr, I loved it so much the first time I went in May, that I took my friend and his son in September. Anyway hope you like the pictures.

Beautiful it looks so Autumnal, doesn't it? that mist that we can almost smell

Bet it's perishing cold with any wind though

What's the dome/minaret thing ?

I agree with the others, very atmospheric and you can feel the season change just looking. Looks a cracking spot.

The dome is one of two 'beehive' cairns on the summit ridge of Drygarn Fawr. The mist was superb, just a nip in the air first thing in the morning. The tarp was for the kids, I stayed in MLD Trailstar luxury, looking forward to the next adventure.

Fantastic part of the world. The Cambrians are a little visited area, fantastic wilderness, some huge forestry areas, some lovely broadleaf woodland as well.

Fantastic images. I've always intended to do a pitch in that area, but have not yet managed it. Thanks for the incentive.

I can heartily recommend it, Harvestman, The walk up the valley from Abergwesyn is superb. Although the tussocks and bog / streams can get a little wearing. It's remote enough and little frequented enough, that I've never seen anyone else up there.
