A walk in the woods

Zipper and i went for a hike in th mountains yesterday
ive been in a funk lately after losing my other blue heeler amigo Fred and i needed to get moving
figured the bush might help some

weve had a lot of wolf activity around the ranch so i took along my rifle
wolves hate dogs and will kill one if given the opportunity, so i wasn't taking any chances.
anyhow heres a few pics and a short vid

Lovely to see some snow too; mostly it's just been rain here this Winter.

Would wolves be an issue if you didn't take the dog with you ?

I can't answer that for sure...though they've never bothered me before
there were two hunters that had to shoot a couple last fall in idaho...seems they entered thier camp behaving in a tthreatening manner.
another woman hunter in idaho had to shoot one after a very large wolf stalked and then charged her!...an aquantance of mine lost his entire pack of lion hounds too a pack of wolves...they treed a cat and bayed treed, but by the time the hunters could get on scene the dogs had been all killed by wolves....thanks...woods
