A forged axe head

Did an axe head the other day, and thought i would throw it up here.
The body is forged from 20x40x100mm mild steel, and the bit is ck60

This is as forged

Tried out a new makers stanp i made, simple and subtle just as i like it!

And did a shield shaped eye on this one, it suits these viking-ish axes better than my old drift i think!

And after some grinding with another, it is ready for heat treat!
