I'm just so happy (well, sort of). My present employers have just sold up and leave the farm tommorow. I have lost my job but, they've asked me to look after their 17 acre woodland for the forseable future as they are moving back to the states. My own wood, no footpaths and lots of space to enjoy. And they're paying me to do it :nana:
It won't pay the bills but got to have a bit of a silver lining.

You could rent out hammock and tent pitches to bushcrafters :)

Hope you get a job soon but enjoy playtime in the meantime.

Once i get a little harbour area set up, i'll post a couple of pics. It's a lovely wood, Ancient semi natural, mainly oak, with a nice mix of ash, and overlooking the river teme. Nesting buzzards, bagers and more squirrels than my collie can chase in a year.

Nice one. Seventeen acres of wood or full time employment, know what I would choose!!!

So want my own Woodland...
