Not wishing to hijack this thread but in relation to the subject of Machete's, I was on a Bushcraft Survival course a few weeks ago and the instructor had an ultra lightweight machete, weighed a lot less than my old trusty 4" blade lock knife. It may have been light but when he let me loose...

Hi John, I was on a BushCraft course a couple of weeks ago in Preston where we were shown how to make the Dangle, Strangle, Mangle and Tangle traps. (never can remember which way round the list should be :o ). The following day we had to actually make them from scratch.... but only...

They just have to be (1) for me.......not that I'm desperate or anything!!!! :eek:

Anyone recommend a Bivvy Bag as there seems to be so much choice (and price variance) on the web? Probably be used most in the Lake District. Cheers Pete.
