South Downs Green Fair this Sunday at the Sustainability Centre (Hampshire)

Hoping to get over there, combine it with a visit to the wife's grandmother's grave. Oh, and to see Bemis who are a great local band, playing at three.:)

    Which leather stamp logo?

Number 2. The first reminded me of the Everest logo and I don't like third.

Sorry to drag this off topic, how do you find the TW tarp? Like the sizes and love the hammock but not seen any reviews of the tarps.

That's right, rub it in... ;) *thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's hammock...* You're right, loadsamoney, but everyone says they are worth it.

Just to throw the Tenth Wonder back in the mix, I have the Tenth Wonder XL and I love it. It's slightly longer than usual at 2.8 metres. I figured that at £17 posted it wouldn't do any harm to try out hammocking. I have (like most) changed out the suspension - the green "rope" they supply is...

    Kindle recomendations?

Probably shouldn't admit this but am reading The Hunger Games at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it. Every smoke and toilet break I read a bit more. Thank goodness for the iPhone and iPad apps to accompany the kindle! Three different books at the same time. :)

    My Frst Sewing Project

Thanks for the positive responses folks! You're all right, it is addictive! Made a second set of skins today for a friend's hammock. Then I started on a ridgeline hanging bag using some black ripstop. Got three edges stitched before I ran out of light - the dining room bulb just ain't good...

    My Frst Sewing Project

My Mother-In-Law donated an old sewing machine she doesn't use any more and on Saturday I set it up in an attempt to figure out how to use it. Failing miserably having sat looking at the manual and the machine for about a half hour I gave up and phoned my Mum. Mums are great aren't they...

    Sewing machine

Funnily enough, I have just taught myself the basics with a sewing machine my Mother In Law gave me. Made a ridgeline bag and a pair of snakeskins in the last couple of days. Satisfying isn't it!

    An agreeable (re)find

Thanks Spandit. There was a tobacconist near here that used to sell them. I just thought they were cute and used one for about 2 years. Never realised they were a WW1 lighter!
