Anyone tried seasoning the pan/pot?
As in heating oil in it to produce a non-stick surface?
Never occured to me before to do it to mess tin but I can't think why it shouldn't be done.
I've wondered if you could use it as a dutch oven. Heat it from below raised off the ground and putting embers in the top..?
Never tried it but its crossed my mind.

Use 100g of sugar.
Its really lovely with duck - but I've had it on icecream too. :)
It will thicken a fair bit once it cools so don't over cook it.
