Sweet. Makes my plans of living in a converted Shipping container or two seem spacious by comparison.

I could probably put up with it if it was planted in the woods but where it is....... no, it would be difficult for me to live in such an area, even in a mansion.

Just get a caravan, $20k for an allotment shed on wheels? No thanks.

My thoughts exactly.

You sound like me. I only need a 1 room cabin------and a large barn.

Or even a small barn

I've lived on my boat for 15 years and have roughly about the same amount of space that he has..except..I don't have the attic!! I can't stow things on shelves as he does, well I could, but it would be interesting when she rolled at sea..
I rent a small shipping container where I can stow my MotoGuzzi, tools and winter clothing when i'm voyaging to somewhere warm, but apart from that I find I have all I need aboard. Life is comfortably spartan..

, instead of piling stuff up in every corner like I do. More room often means more junk...

It is a very pretty house. It is the same size the roma wagons were. Personally it looks he had a idea of house and made it smaller rather than look at people that live in a small spaces having multifunctional things like seating that becomes beds and heating units that are the cooking unit. I wouldnt have an internal toilet in a dwelling that size. the heating unit should be in the middle.

I live to a different 'Rule of Three'..Wearing one, one in the wash and one spare, and that's it, anymore is just the.. I want it syndrome..I don't have a special Bushcrafting gear, jacket or boots, I wear my old 95 jacket, a pair of Danners and a Bergen I was issued with but they seem to work ok for me anyway. Lot's of CD's (no TV) but I have to be wary of books as I find they creep aboard and hide in valuble locker space..

I have a raid every so often and off load them into the local animal charity shops..
Actually there's nothing to brag about, if there's not the space to have lots of Gucci kit, well you can't have it..just get on with what you have..end ex..

Inbetween moving houses a couple of years ago we decided to rent because the house that we were moving too was not yet ready for habitation!...It was only supposed to be for a month or two...so we rented a small two bed house for our family of five and Retriever. My wife and I had decided that we would use the sitting room with Aerobeds for the duration, and give the bedrooms to the kids. The house was empty so we put all our furniture into storage and decided to live with our family camping kit.

As it happened, it took seven months for the house to be ready!

Living small and spartan is difficult for a protracted period of time, especially with a family (kids were 7, 11 & 12 at the time), however, you get REALLY focussed on what is important and after about a month we had systems in place that worked really well, some of which are still in place ;)

No, but I could live in this:

far better design in my opinion. It makes more sense to have an open space that can be altered to suit your needs than to squeeze everything into that space at once.

I could build a hut like that for a couple of grand including the caravan chassis. I could easily stay in it but i would need a big van to keep all my kit and tools .

Now the other one is more like it , if i am ever single again i could see myself building a studio flat like that.
