laptop.pngTelecommuters are taking their work to the great outdoors, a new survey by Microsoft Windows Mobile suggets.  When questioned, nine out of ten mobile wokers confirmed that they often take their work to the the beach, onto sailing dinghies and into tree houses.

More than half of office workers responded that their believed their stress levels would reduce if they could choose their place of work.

The study comes as numbers of people working from home sets to increase.  Consultant Tom Stewart of ergonomic specialist firm System Concepts explained that productivity could be boosted through allowing employees to choose their environment.

"Giving people more choice is empowering, raises morale and improves the relationships between employees and their bosses - it's a win-win," he said.

Wireless technology now permits people to take work to the outdoors environment, while keeping in touch with the office.
