Lovely tutorial I learnt to make this style of bracelet whilst out in Central America. The person who showed me reffered to it as a Macrame knot check out this site if you need more help as it gives an animation of how to tie the knot
http://www.virtualmuseum.ca/Exhibitions/ManitobaCrafts/content/macrame/squareknot.html There is also a variation of this knot that makes a beautiful spiral. Look at picture 2&3 if you keep doing the same knot without changing the side that you make a loop the knot will gradually work its way around the middle ropes. The use of ordinary brown garden twine makes it look quite rustic. You must be logged in to a comment. Please register if you do not have an account yet.

Pass both of the ends of cord through the loop at the bottom of the body.
Remove your holding knot from the top of the body, and pass an end of cord through each loop.
Find the point where the bracelet is loose enough to get on and off, then tie a double overhand knot as a fastener.
Not in the same league as some of the leatherwork seen on here, but I'm pretty proud of this nonetheless.
The bracelet is made from approx. 3m of paracord (or a cheap copy thereof).

You should be as proud, as I am jubilant, to have been able to make my 6 year old a bracelet
that she adores.
Many thanks to you & BushcraftUK
