Anglesey by firecrest

I had a great weekend, I met with 15 members of my family for `Ladies weekend` in Anglesey in a small caravan. Its amazing we all fit, we mostly all had to sit outside. Its not often we all get together in one place. In between the drinking we looked for snakes and birdwatched, and hunted for pignuts which was unsuccesful. On saturday we went to a carboot sale where I picked up a 4 season gelert lynx 400 sleeping bag for 12 quid and a whole box of kid leather skins for a fiver. Im more than a bit chuffed with myself! I have now made my first leather pouch, the stitching is awful and it took me nearly 6 hours, but I suppose practice makes perfect!

When I got some time alone, I headed up into some hills while the sun was hot.  I had intended to visit the remains of a romano/celtic village, and a cairn, but I didnt have time to go that far, instead I diverted to a small chapel from the 1400s. It had no roof and nothing inside but a font, but I like visiting old ruins alone because you get more of a feel for the atmosphere.  I think I must have been a child the last time I ran through a field in the sun like that.
