Chairs.... by queeg9000

Okay, I've just taken my Mackeral fillets out of my smoker, and I must say they smell lovely, I'm going to resist temptation, and let them cool down and chill before eating them, so it'll be tea for tomorrow!

I mentioned earlier that i'd been making a chair for my neice, the chairs  I make are based on a Cape Cod chair I saw when my  wife and I went to Boston and Cape Cod a few years ago. The chairs are made in wood, and are one of the most comfortable designs I've sat in, plus the arms are so spacious, you can put your pint on one of them, and a plate of barbeque food on the other!

Here's a picture of the chair, before final finishing, they usually take me about a day or so to make, spread over a few evenings, but they're very satisfying to create, and they always make me feel like I've achieved something good....what do you reckon?

I'll admit, it's not really bushcraft, but it's working with natural materials, and I do enjoy woodworking! I've toyed with the idea of a beachcombed timber version, as there's usually plenty washed up along the Bristol channel...ummm we'll see.. Ah well take it easy, and I'll write again soon..ttfnSteve

I reckon that's a great chair - particularly the thoughtful design for people having a snack smilies/smiley.gif
