Been a while by Tony

Heck time flies by, it’s been an age since I’ve written anything in here, lots have gone on I know buy I’m getting old and it’s hard to remember J

We’ve just started the process of buying a house after selling our old one, although I think that I’m just being pulled along by my wife and kids as I was quite enjoying not having the responsibility of houseownership. Saying that I’m getting used to the idea and I have to admit that it will be nice to have some of our own space, I’ll be able to have a fire pit again (that discussions already been had when Shelly pointed out that she was going to have that area for a Veg garden, I swiftly corrected her, I’m sure there are other places!)

Not sure I mentioned this before but we’re expecting a new addition in Nov, exciting stuff although Shell’s having a bit of a hard time with this one, she’s a fighter though so it doesn’t stop her doing much.

This week the kids were doing some white water canoeing which was great to watch, it was tipping down with rain and they loved it, one of the great things about living way out here is that things like that are readily available.

This whole week has been work work work, the magazine will be out next week, more of the site has been developed – see the new news section ? It’s great! Some problems solved, the Moot is coming together well and it’s going to be great, I don’t think people really appreciate how many people and how much time goes into organising a Moot, the lead up is hard work. I’m looking forward to this one, it will be great to see friends and make new ones.

We’ve been really lucky here where I live, I was expecting to be flooded (we’ve been flooded for the last two years) with all the rain we’ve been having but we’ve got off lightly indeed compared to a lot of places around the UK, we had the sandbags ready and the boards to go across the doorways and they’ve not been needed which is great as usually it all happens at 3am :-)

It’s great to see people using the blog, I enjoy getting an insight into what people are doing and how things are going for them, keep it up the rest of you it’s inspiring.
