What a plonker, just found why I couldn't upload anymore pictures, I'd minimised the upload window, so when I was on "upload" and it appeared not to work.............it was there all along!

 So here's the next bit:

Now thas ready, it's time for some smoking................for the first trial, I'm using a gas burner, with a stainless balti dish on top (£2 from Asda) full of Alder chips.Here's the pictures, including smoke! yes, success!

 

 

This method, gives a hot smoke, because the burner keeps a fair bit of heat going round inside the drum! I'm going to try some Mackeral fillets soon, hot smoked....................then I'll work on a cold smoked method, for preserving food, and hopefully to try some Jerky!

 

Feeling hungry now.........................
