The way to BushcraftUK by Nightwalker

outsidebcuk.JPGThis is the way to enjoy BCUK!

With a few rainy working days behind me, im sat here enjoying BCUK in style ;) Outside on the balcony with my firebasket going nicely, ice cold Mangers, wireless laptop for BCUK, listening to some sweet harmonica blues and a lovely big beech tree at the end of the garden, it dosent get much better! Well I suppose it could; I could be somewhere deep in woodland, then again I dont think the wifi reception would be too good :p

Im researching a few things for my camping trip up to Wales later on this summer aswell as trying to track down a zebra billy-can thats in stock! A good number of suppliers seem to be out of stock at the moment, seems like a Zebra-billy shortage maybe. Oh well they seem to be coming back in stock later this month so I'll wait and thankfully get 25% discount from a certain supplier thanks to BushcraftUK!

I'll probably purchase a DD Hammock aswell this evening, have a good shop around.

This is a much better way of enjoying BCUK than being stuck in the office!

Great stuff smilies/grin.gif

Why don't you make you're own billy can? I made my set out of coffee tins from TK Max, put a handle on, put a knob on the lid and hey presto, been using them for 6 years and they're doing well....Just a thought.

Also, if you're getting a DD hammock remember that you'll need a good sized tarp as they're longer than people expect and it can leave you exposed under the standard military type tarps.

Have a great trip smilies/wink.gif

Thanks for the adice Tony! Yeah, last night's research on the forums did find a lot of talk about homemade billycans and im greatly interested, apprently morrisons are doing some cheap tins that are perfect.

As for the DD Hammock I purchased this one last night:

I've got a 3mX3m tarp (from outdoorcode also) so I think I should be alright. Cheers for the tips! smilies/smiley.gif
