Up on the high chalk today by British Red

...and it was lovely.

 Old Winchester Hill

This is the view over the old bronze age hill fort

The sky was a fantastic colour - even thistles looked great against it

 Thistle

Saw this oil beetle and though "wow what a colour"

Soldier Beetles abounded too

Kidney vetch was flowering everywhere

Greater Stichwort was all around too

There were Chalk Hill Blues flying around - beautiful creatures

The High Chalk was covered with the usual array of bunnies - loads of tiny ones as well as the usual larger and wary ones!

A lovely day - I hope yours was good too

You had lovely weather there! We had rain most of the day here in my bit of Suffolk. Beautiful pictures. Those insects are gorgeous, aren't they. Thanks for sharing, Red.

Glad you liked them jojo.

I suspect the blogs don't get much of a view, but it keeps me from cluttering the main boards!
