Did a bit of fiddling in work over the past few days and created a collapseable tripod for over a fire - we'll have to try it out sometime. In the recent past I've also been playing with some of the Morrisons food storage tins mentioned by Wayland a few weeks ago and tonight I've put some photos up - might ttry to edit this to copy them here once I find out how to.

Some not so good news is that our most recent vehicle went "Crunch" last night and we'll have to wait until after the bank holiday to ask the garage to see if we can afford to get it fixed - it might be just the clutch, or knowing our luck something hideously more expensive.
