    I've heard a whisper the SAS have started using 2.5mm paracord made with kevlar, bulletproof so they dont get their bashas shot down in battle. Thats hush hush though.

    Just found some 6mm at the car boot. It's well old, much better than that modern stuff.

    No it's from the 80s I have some retro stuff with a Ventile sheath and raw hide inner strands.

    Anyway, 36mm paracord is just the old 1/7th inch stuff which, since Imperial was banned, is being phased out in favour of 37mm, which works better in continental Europe.

    As a matter of fact, I believe sailors traditionally used manilla for the hanging of albatrosses around necks, NOT hemp...

    Its just the sheath that's 0.05 thicker on the 3.7 it adds nothining to the streangth, but does increase the radar signature significantly, hence why its not used in the construction of high altitude stealth hammocks.
