Boot help needed

Hi, ive been a member of the forum for a little while but havent really posted anything but now i need some help.
Im trying to find a pair of light weight boots or trainer style walking shoes for general mooching about in the woods and everyday wear. The whole of today i have been searching in vain, i have been to 4 different camping shops trying on meindl, scarpa, merel, brasha and salomon. Everything i tried on i found to be uncomfortable, the problem being that all these differnt shoes/boots have very stiff soles for support which is understandable but i have a history of running and like a flexible shoe so i can feel what is under foot.
i have been serching the web and have found the rouge boots and the bison bushcraft boots, to me these look as though they would have some flex and provide the comfort i would be after but being you can only purchase them online i dont know this for sure. so does anybody have any sugestions or advice that would help.
