    Default Outdoor Kindergarten

    hello,
I thought this maybe of interest to the forum http://www.communitychannel.org/video/upjOpPWQaAI/
I've been following a few of these interesting programmes via the Community Channel this one with
children being taught basic survival skills in Norway.

For whatever reason the 'uploader' of the linked video hasn't made it available to all countries, happily someone else has. Link below.

I have downloaded it and will watch it later, thanks for posting.

That was brilliant How all children should get the chance to become familiar with their world
    Puts normal playschool to shame.

If I'm ever a Granny I'm going to try to see my family have that opportunity I tried with my own children, but life was busy and though they got more outdoors than most, I still feel it could have been more.

    Thank you for the link

Thanks for posting that. I have four kids and try and get them outside as much as possible. However peer influences on the older two mean more and more time on Blackberry, iPod, computer. We are taking our 5 yer old twis to the 'moot to start planting the outdoor seeds of the future.

Thanks David, great vid. Now our little one is 2 she is much more aware of her surroundings, and keeps yelling "on Daddy's back!" whenever a dog walk in the woods is on offer. Not got her spoon carving yet, might wait until she's 3...grin.
