Default Kayak Fishing in Central Virginia

I have been doing some local fishing for Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides) from my kayak. Here are some pictures of a recent afternoon trip on Winston Lake on the Cumberland State Forest. I was using medium spinning tackle and a 7 inch Yum plastic curly tailed worm. The worm was watermellon with red flake color and was Texas rigged with an 1/8 oz. bullet sinker and a plastic bead. I had fun catching these small bass; here are the pictures.

    The plastic worm Texas rigged.

    Thanks for looking!

Nice pix Gordon. Catch & Release? Or fish dinner? If the latter, any pix?

    Hi santaman2000,

These were catch and release, as only one made it into the keeper length regulation for the lake.
