    Default Berghaus Cyclops?

been browsing around looking for a second hand Vulcan (can't afford a new one at the minute) and the Cyclops II popped up in the search results. can you add the side pouches to the Cyclops like you can the Vulcan? pictures aren't very good so i can't see for myself

    cheers

    Hi Matt

I have the Burg Cyclops 2 and yes you can add the pouches. there are zippers ether side, I can send you photos if need, however I am not sure if the pouches are interchangeable between the Cyclops and Vulcan.

Be aware there is a cyclops two back system as on the vulcan or is it a cyclops roc/crusader with a size two back length ??

A crusader is just a vulcan with the cyclops one back system that has zips on for side pouches but the zips are the otherway round than on a vulcan

A Vulcan also has a zipper in the base for a sleeping bag compartment the original crusader didn't have that..

You'll want the right back length wattsy.............the vulcan back's range from 1 very short to 4 long...I think I know the bag you're after, drop the seller a message & ask him the size, there's a little white label between the shoulder straps with a number on it....if he can't read it , get him to measure the back...measure your back length too, just to be sure.
Vulcans usually go for a good price on the bay, so prepare yourself for a frenetic auction

Is there a difference in a cyclops 11 and a vulcan?????

I have rucksacks which say "Bergaus Cyclops 11 Vulcan" on the lid and therefore I thought the cyclops 11 and a vulcan are the same....

    Am I wrong??

Cyclops 2 is the back system ,, Vulcan is the bergen model ,

The ealier packs had the cyclops back system less padding ,, later cyclops 2
