Default Wicks for jar candles ?

Does anyone who makes candles know what size or numbers of wicks are needed for a jar candle to burn properly ?
My coffee comes in jars virtually identical to the expensive Yankee Candles ones and I've got masses of remaindered wax, but I don't fancy guttered out wax several inches deep stuck in a jar.

    cheers,

sounds like most of my attempts at home-made jam-jar candles, soot, smell, very little flame, cracked jars, molten wax all in the new carpet etc. etc.
much more fun than the shop bought ones!
