Bailey Plane No 8
I know that there are some serious woodworkers on this forum so I thought I'd offer this here first.
My Dad is looking to sell a Bailey Plane Number 8 .Apparently Bailey later became Bailey-Record and then just Record and are famously good makers.
24" long and 2 5/8" wide this beast weighs in at 9 3/4 lbs!!
The following patents are cast into the baseplate:
March 25th 02
August 19th 02
April 19th 10
If anyone is interested let me know and I will get him to bring it to my house for a photoshoot but I thought I'd just ask for interest before I ask an eighty year-old to lug it across town for photos.
He is an ex metalwork and woodwork teacher so his tools are all in good nick.
He has been told it is worth around £100 so how about £90? Postage is very much NOT included.
