Default A Survival week in the wilderness 28th July / 2nd Aug

Venue - White rose wood, Potterspury, NN12 7QD

Start time and date - Saturday 28th July 10am (arrive Friday if you like)

Briefing will start at 10 am prompt

The idea of this meet is you will bring comfortable sleeping arrangements and one change of clothes.

I will provide all hygienic items for washing, cleaning and toilet, no body needs to risk getting poorly.
I will provide a communial knife (a blunt Frosts Mora carbon steel)
I will provide an air rifle and a few snares, if you can't shoot straight or dispatch an animal cleanly you won't be able to use these, no need to be cruel.
I will provide some basic food stuffs, flour, pulses, rice, salt, oil and maybe some pasta if you are lucky!

There is plenty of natural food ready to be enjoyed, hopefully this situation will allow people to rely on the food rather than just add it to an already rich diet.

No alcohol untill the last day, all other drinks will be provided, well tea and coffee (soft drinks for any kids).

I have a guy booked for Monday 30th, he teaches bow making and other woodland crafts, he has agreed to take a class of 10 students and will provide 10 ash staves and teach 10 students to make an ash bow, cost is £30 per person, limited to 10, first come first served.

*Please Note normal camp fee's of £5 per night Apply as per normal meet.

Damn... if I wasn't at the moot for that day I'd have loved to have come along for that Karl.

As for the survival week, sounds like a great plan. I'll look forward to the write up afterwards

I think this is a great idea. I'd definitely come if that wasn't also the wife's birthday weekend! Any chance of running it again later in the year?

Well said, just come along for some time in the woods, you don't have to take part in the challange.

I went for visiting hours today to find the inmates preparing tea, it was a lovely visit Much gratitude for the beverage, laughs around the fire and a deeply interesting few hours, bushbros!

Is anyone there over this weekend, Martin? I was thinking of heading down again if I can get a vehicle
