    Default Dahlgren dri-stride socks

This is for any one in striking distance of Blackburn, yesterday I stumbled on a basket of Dahlgren Dristride socks in Outdoor Action in Blackburn , 4 pairs for 10 quid or 3 a pair. They are merino alpaca mix socks

and the bags on some of them are marked "try ons", all are plain though some have cream toes and heels. I assume they were made to be given to shops as advertising to be used when trying on boots but they all look firsts quality and the pair I have worn all today have been great. Herself insisted on test machine washing a pair lat night and they came out fine, so dry after spinning they didn't need tumble drying, just airing on a radiator she said.

Anyroad she packed me off today to buy her 12 pairs inher size ( 5 to 8, I assume that's US sizes) and I managed to find 4 more pairs of 8 to 12s for myself although there weren't many left in that range, shed loads in the smaller sizes in different ankle lengths and styles, some had thicker tops than others so may have been for wellies or ski boots rather than walkers.

I'm very pleased with them anyroad, they seam as good as the other high end socks they had at 15 quid a pop and they review well.

    PM sent.

They are down to just medium and small now as we picked them clean of 8 to 12s today. For some reason (possibly pity) the chap at the counter only charged us a quid a pair! Must be his last day or something!
