    Can anyone recommend to me a good book for food preserving please.

    Now from the title, I was going to suggest keeping it in a water proof bag until you want to read it.
    If life is a roller coast, mine failed the Health & Safety checks.

    I have a wonderful old Constance Spry book that has a massive preserving section, and also use a lot of the recipes from Roger Phillips 'Wild Food'...
