    Default Filey coast

So this week I am 'glamping' with the mrs and our 4 children.

Whilst we have been here in Filey we have seen some lovely coastline and the other day I took the lad on a little hill climb down to the beach.

This was the hill we tackled. It was quite an incline but safe enough to plot a route down. I'd say approximately 80-100 feet from top to bottom.

The view half way down the climb towards the beach.

The rugged coastline stretching into the sea.

Whilst we were on the beach we spotted an old bunker perched over the top of the hill. We decided to make a climb to it and have a look see.

    The bunker itself

Atop the bunker overlooking the sea. You can see why these were built in these positions.

And this is the view from atop the bunker looking back towards Filey brigg. That isn't our 'glamping' site by the way.

My mums just moved to Filey - looks good, I'll remember to check out the pillboxes!
And many strokes, though with a little axe,
Hew down and fell the hardest-timber'd oak.
