    Default Bird ID help required, what are these 2 LBJs?

    Can somebody please ID these 2 little brown birds? Appologies for the poor quality of the photos.

    The top pic is a male wheatear & t'other looks like a pipit of some kind.possibly meadow.

    EDIT: Yep, pretty sure the bottom pic is a meadow pipit.

    Some idea of size would help

    closest I can find in colouring to the top one is a great grey shrike, but the beak looks wrong

    bottom one looks like some type of thrush - was it blackbird sized?
    ...are you sure I only need 1 ?

    After an image search on google I'd tend to agree (the photo/illustrations in the book I referred to didn't show the pronounced black mark under the eye!)

    Wheatears and pipits are common in the area but most wheatears I've seen are more colourful than the one shown.
