I'm just testing the waters with regards to dates for the next Giants Seat Meet

I was thinking the weekend after the jubilee so the 8th - 10th of June

What does everyone think?

I will organise everything if there are any takers, we have a really good time the last meet and I personally am looking forward to the next one

I will be travelling back home from the Lakes and would like to call in and stop over Friday to Saturday and meet a few folks. Only thing is that I will have two dogs in tow. Is that a problem?

I'm going to have to pull out of this one! :-( Apparently family weddings are more important.

I will still organise this with Giants Seat and Alan will take over the duty of collecting subs etc

I am on duty over the weekend so can't stay over but was thinking of having a run down fri daytime. What time are people planing on getting there on the fri?

Right folks

I'm not going to be able to make it down at all this weekend unfortunately. I have arranged everything with the warden but they need to know what time people are going to be turning up so that they can be there.

Alan will be taking subs from people, can you please find him as soon as possible and give him your subs so he doesn't have to chase people. Subs are £5 per person per night. Alan will also be the first point of contact for keys and such.

So can people let me know what time they are arriving

It looks like I will only be able to pop in on Saturday now I'm afraid.

Life just keeps getting in the way.

Ive just had a call from Alan who has let me know that he will be unable to come this weekend as his car has just broken down and is apparently unlikely to be fixable.

Due to the short notice and the inability of me to get hold of anyone to act as key holder i think i am going to have to cancel this meet

I'm really sorry about this guys.

From this point on i will only organise meets that i am able to attend thereby getting rid of this issue.

If anyone would be willing to take over the reins of this meet please PM me asap if i havent heard from anyone by tomorrow morning i will let the people at the scout camp know we wont be going

Yeah me too pal, was gutted not to be able to go myself and then alan rang last night and its all gone west

I will rearrange one for either the end of this month or the beginning of next, we are also looking at other camps that offer similar facilities.

Sorry it all went pear shaped, but I had an argument with a pothole last night and smashed the ball joint and drive shaft on the car. It would cost more to fix it than the car's worth, so I'm grounded for a couple of weeks.

Anybody know of anywhere I can get a decent car (cheap) from around Manchester?

my mrs has just found quite a good site that specialise in motors with low mileage and good condition, they have some relatively cheap stuff on there and def worth a look at the website
