    Default Camera Advise Please

Hi all i am looking to get another camera. I want it to capture large landscapes aswell as general everyday photos ie of the dogs and ferrets. So i am thinking something not too big but with a wide focus lens. Looking to spend up to £250 any help would be much appreciated. Currently ive got a 10mp Canon compact digital camera which is great for family photos and around the house but not so good for when out walking trying to capture scenery. i am looking for something a little more sophisticated and advanced, any help will be great thanks alot mrs v

    Hi Ms V
I have added a link below to a Canon EOS 450D camera with 18-55mm Canon lens and 75-300mm Canon lens and book.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Canon-EOS-...item41650e048c

This is the sort of introduction camera to more sophisticated camera in the Canon Range. I have a 1DS Mk 1 and a 1D Mk2 with various lenses, but like you I started out with a basic camera (Pentax K 1000 film camera) and over the years have moved up.
I bought all my equipment off ebay and I'm aware that things can go wrong, one shutter had to be replaced 3 months after buying the camera £280 for the replacement *ouch* so be sure of what you want if your going down the second hand market. There is also London Camera Exchange web site (New and Used )which will a bit more expensive that ebay, but they do have a good reputation.
    Happy Shopping

Are you attached to a brand?
Do you want interchangable lenses and what do you do with the shots?

Panasonic lumix TX 20 or Olympus SP-720 UZ would be a candidate if a compact is an option.

thanks for the help shes been out today and brought a panasonic lumix g2 with interchangable lenses similar to what you have mentioned. Its a cracking camera picture quality seems excelent and its not too big and heavy for her. Shes not had chance to get out with it yet but im sure it wont be long. Its also excelent at moving shots both animals and water etc.
Im sure she will post some pics soon thanks from both of us
