    Default Best ray mears series

    Hi,

I'm looking at buying a ray mears series but can't decide which one is the best! Maybe you can help. Extreme survival. Northern wilderness. Bushcraft. Not really a fan of walkabout or wild food

    Cheers

I liked World of survival, extreme survival and Northern wilderness.
There's a few really good ones in series 1&2 of extreme survival.
In a little world of my own!!

Depends what you like, just buy 'em all

Personally I like the one with Cambodia, Belarus etc, but I love the Swedish one with Lars felt, What a lovely place to be, and then again I love the canoe trip with that chuckling bloke,

    Just buy the lot !

I reckon "Bushcraft" was the best by far - Canoe journey, Aboriginal Britain and Seasons where just superb episodes, and Ray's message was still fresh.

I think Bushcraft & Extreme survival are the best. Bushcraft for the learning experience & E S for the amazing survival stories. Shop around befor buying them as prices vary considerably.

www.play.com seems to have the best prices at the moment, much much cheaper than ebay unless you ar able to get second hand ones, plus prices include delivery.

I prefer the Ray Mears Bushcraft Survival but as said it's well worth a google to find the best price.

I liked the one where he teamed up with Bear Grylls.

    I reckon:

Extreme Survival and Bushcraft - may as well get both discs for both these series

then maybe Northern Wilderness if you want more

Agree that Walkabout could perhaps be avoided, as could (in my opinion only of course) Survival and Wild Britain

Got a sneaking soft spot for Wild Food though; can't help liking Prof. Gordon!

Bushcraft is his best series IMO. Aboriginal Britain and Birchbark Canoe are personal favourites of mine. If you'd added Northern Wilderness to that list it would've been my exact choice too.
