It's deffo GPM. Must be an oldy as even in the mid 80s they were dual (multi?) fuel.

Funny thing is, it wouldn't surprise me at all if I saw a skinny middle aged middle class woman driving one of them instead of her shiny range rover sports that hasn't seen more than a few dry leaves on a tarmacked road.
