With my usual great sense of timing, I start a new job next week and the clutch has gone on my car so I will be walking in on Friday evening. On Saturday morning someone may have to run me home, please, to get the leatherworking box and the knife sharpening stuff
    Cheers

Ha, you're getting me back now Jack. Cheers mate, I appreciate it, I'll bell you later in the week when I know what's going on. Thanks mate. Walking in would have been fine but I was worried about shaking the beer up...

I've seen some really big scout groups there so I would have thought 30 would be fine tbh. Plus they get a lot more cash...

I should be able to make it on the friday too as I no longer need to be at work.
Unfortunately the reason i'm not working, is I managed to break a toe on Monday.
At least i'll be instantly recognisable to everyone (i'll be the guy limping around with one massive daft looking shoe).

Thats both good and a shame. See you there Friday. Not sure what time yet, just save me a couple of trees and a spot by the fire.

We pondered having another fire last time due to numbers but this time I think we'll have to have at least one other fire.

I agree there should be another fire. 30 people around one fire pit waiting there turn to make breakfast or dinner is not
    very pleasing.
Mind you there are a few of us who do cook on small stoves for quickness.
Best communal meal was the one Neil and Lee made, best venison stew I've had.
Not long to go now fellas, hope you all have a good tuck box to take along with you, and a chair.

Trying to cook enough stew for 30 people could be problematic too - I'll probably just bring my own bits and bobs. Not sure if I'll be staying for the Saturday night but will bring my parachute so we'll have shelter for 2 fires regardless

I'm only there Friday night, so will self cater this time. But will bring the griddle for breakfast Saturday morning for those that surface in time.

I can almost taste the sausage already.

It should have said Swallow + 1 (not =1) so I make it 31 and it might be + 2

Whats the time we can book onto the site on the Friday?, we are aiming to be there for about 2pm. I take it that we have to book in at the main reception when we first arrive, and who will we have to give the site fee's to?

With this many bods fire wood is going to be scarce. I don't have much and it might be a bit green, but I'll chuck a few logs in the back of the LR to get things going Friday night.

Think I'll try and book a half day and get over for mid afternoon, looking forward to meeting the Suffolk boys and so new faces. Now going to start sorting my kit and loading the LR.

I'll be there around lunchtime on Friday - will need a hand in raising the 'chute & then we can get a decent supply of firewood in

Also, everyone who promised money for the group 'chute etc. remember to bring it! I'll also be bringing a leather hide to sell in bits so bring some cash for that too, assuming we're still running a leatherworking workshop

Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure.
Failure is success if we learn from it.
