and my question is how long do u leave it in the tin with the bung in once the smoke has stoped and do u leave it on the heat at this point cos i cant remember

Once the smoke/flames stop take the tin out of the fire, bung the plug in the hole then leave until you can handle without asbestos hands
Oh yes... and don't use heat resistant dusters![]()
