    Default Tommy stove

I was given a genuine Blackie's Tommy stove a whole ago and just decided to have a proper look at it and open it up. Firstly as I levered open the top it hissed a bit. Once opened I could see a blue paste with about 15ml of liquid substance in the bottom. So please can anyone tell me if this should still be safe to light.

Should be OK, its alcohol based, so light it outside to be on the safe side.

I had heard they were not much good.

Which may explain why Maurice Wilson took two

Is it not much the same thing as the Swiss Not Kocher? I have been using one of them of late and it's ideal, very small, no smoke and alright for a brew or a quick snack. Not tried it out on hexy blocks yet, but I figure that it would work just as well.
