Now you're talking! I assume this is a tried and tested recipe? ;-)

Yes, 10 was the agreed time. That's still fine for me. Looking forward to getting out in the woods for a night - looks like it's going to be a cold one.

I am something of a 'newbie' so please bear that in mind when I hopelessly fail to pitch my tarp and light a fire etc!!

Struggling a bit with work but I'm still planning to get there this weekend.

No way I can make it by 10am but I'll find you somehow, assuming I do get away. If I don't, apologies and have a good one!

Sorry guys, looks like I'm not going to be able to make this one, still not too well.
Might be able to make it up there during the day at some point to meet you all though.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

What and absolutely cracking place this is! There were just two of us this weekend and you all missed a real treat. Weather was great, no problems with insects and more downed timber than you could shake a stick at.

A BIG THANKYOU to Bob for letting us have use of his lovely wood.

There should be some photos in the camera, when I get a minute I'll post some.

I was already in the queue but had to leave it to go to the toilet (about 200 times)

Ged, I can't seem to get to those photos. Is it working for everyone else?

Very sorry to hear about your illness. Better luck next time.

We might be firewalling you. That happens sometimes when spammers get past an ISP's defences and we have to block a big range of addresses.

Tell me your IP address and I can check the firewall logs. If you can't find it easily go to www.showmyip.com and look at the top left hand corner of the page.

Just found this thread....wow, I live in Telford and would like to add my name to the list for any future meets, it will be great to be able to stay out in the woods without having to travel like I normally would for other meet ups.

This is a lovely spot I have known and walked for years (the other side of the brook), I met wolfenshrew on a cooking course not long back and he mentioned this thread. Any chance I can tag along next time you're staying here?

Unfizzling ??? I've only just found you and although I'm aurrently out of action until after Yule I'd love to meet up in the new year. I'm near Hereford so not far away, have stove, cook pots, tent, bivi, tarps, very cheap hammock I'd like to start using and can even light a fire fairly well .

It is a fantastic place and Bob's been really great letting us use it but he seems to have gone to ground just now.

From what I saw he's probably been very very busy, I think rather than treebloke he should have called himself forestbloke.

He might not be subscribed to the thread so he might be missing this. If we don't hear from him by the New Year I'll send him a PM unless someone else beats me to it.

Tinkypete, we didn't see you down there yet did we?

Elen, sorry, no idea what 'unfizzling' is about.

I do pop into this thread from time to time. It has been so wet staying at the wood can be a damp experience. Hopefully next year may be a bit better.

I have been thinking about a Xmas camp if anyone is interested, a bit cold I guess but at least no flies.

Very interested but obviously time would be tight around Christmas. If it's a choice between cold and flies, give me the cold any day.
