    Default Garden Fungi ID

    Hi
Found this in a barked border in the garden last week.
    Striking burnt orange colour.
Anybody able to give it a name?

    Cheers

    Do the stems bruise blue?

These look like Psilocybe cyanescens, although it is hard to be certain without a shot of the underside. If so, they are seriously hallucinogenic.

gymnopilus hybridus , it might of changed its name this week to a pholiota or flammula, but is very yellow to going red and it grows on the ground.

    Thanks for the replies guys.
I didn’t get a chance to take a pic of the underside or check bruising when I got home last week because last Fridays deluge pretty much battered the entire crop shown in the pics into submission!
I’ve got no idea of Funghi life cycles and how shape/colour may change but when the pic was taken the edges of the caps were much more uneven than some of the pics I have seen on the internet showing gymnopilus hybridus.
After the rain I found another funghi in a patio pot. I wil post this in the dedicated Funghi ID thread that I’ve just seen.
    Cheers
    BB
