I know there are lots of Landy owners out there.
I have an old 110 and I'm fed up with the rear door swinging back onto my legs when the wind takes it.
I've heard about using a gas strut to keep the back open which sounds like a good idea if it can positioned so it doesn't get in the way but can still exert enough force to stop the door moving.
I've tried the Land Rover hook over the sliding bar and my own modified version but they end up bent because it gets used by lots of people who forget it's there and try to force the door shut
I don't think you would be able to replace the hook and sliding bar with a gas strut directly as I think the angle would be wrong (too close to the hinge). Perhaps it would need to be at the top of the door so it wouldn't hinder loading etc.
Any one got one on their Landy or any thoughts?
